SPARK is aimed at strengthening preparedness in the Asia-Pacific region through knowledge, under the ASEAN-Pacific Infectious Disease and Response program (APIDDaR).
It uses quantitative methods and modelling to strengthen regional capacity, develop innovative tools for adaptive decision making to inform disease prevention control and elimination.
SPARK is funded by, and works in collaboration with DFAT.
SPARK focuses on strengthening domestic and regional partnerships and aims to increase capacity in modelling in the Asia-Pacific region. Although our headquarters are located in Australia, our partners live and work globally.
SPARK is a child project of SPECTRUM, and is funded through the Centre for Health Security at DFAT. While SPARK focuses on modelling and capacity building in the Asia Pacific region, SPECTRUM builds on the work undertaken in PRISM and aims to build skills in Australia.
